ABOUT AURORA STATIONERY FEST

Aurora Stationery Fest is a one-day celebration of stationery, journaling, paper goods, and creative community hosted by Stationery Club Co.

Explore a curated lineup of 45+ local artists, vendors, and stores offering stationery, prints, stickers, greeting cards, ephemera, journaling supplies, planner goods, and more!

Hosted at the historic Two Brothers Roundhouse, ASF attendees will be able to enjoy the on-site restaurant, cafe, and brewery in the converted venue which used to be a train roundhouse. This history also contributed to the train themes and colors of the fest.

WHY ATTEND?

Aurora Stationery Fest is hosted by stationery lovers, for stationery lovers. Most tickets are free and the fest aims to truly celebrate all of the people who make the stationery community so special, from journalers to artists to pen enthusiasts and everyone in between.

ASF will feature journaling meet-ups and workshops (tickets required) hosted by members of local stationery and journaling clubs, in addition to a dedicated outdoor journaling area (weather permitting).

Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your 2027 planners, searching for handmade gifts, or just want to hang out with fellow paper lovers, we can’t wait to welcome you to Aurora Stationery Fest!

ADMISSION

Aurora Stationery Fest is open from 10 AM–6 PM, with last entry and re-entry at 5 PM. To help manage capacity, attendees will reserve one of three admission types. Your ticket window shows when you may first enter the fest. Once you are admitted, you are welcome to stay until the fest closes at 6 PM.

General Admission is free, while VIP tickets are paid and include early admission to the fest and a swag bag. A very limited number of VIP tickets are available as ASF aims to make stationery events more accessible. The cost of VIP tickets goes directly to supporting the fest, and we truly appreciate anyone who is able to purchase one.

All attendees, regardless of admission type, will have the opportunity to attend free journaling meetups and paid workshops, enter stationery giveaways, and try to complete the stamp rally for extra prizes.

Walk-ins may experience a wait depending on event capacity. RSVPs are strongly encouraged.

COMMUNITY MEETUPS

Join a free meetup in a cozy loft above the fest for journaling, yapping, and connection! Meetups are hosted by members of local stationery clubs. Some journaling supplies will be provided, but bring your own journals and planners. When you RSVP to Aurora Stationery Fest, you will have the opportunity to also RSVP to a journaling meetup — you must reserve a spot to a hosted meetup to attend as seats are limited.

The meetup loft is only accessible via stairs. There is an outdoor journaling and meetup area on the first floor available throughout the fest (weather permitting).

11AM — 12PM Kindness Journaling Meetup

Hosted by Jean from Random Acts of Kindness

Join Jean and fellow open-minded individuals for a kindness journaling session! Take an hour to focus on how one small act of kindness can create a ripple effect that grows as it moves throughout the world. Let's mark our journals with some creative kindness and share what we're nerdy about. Together we can make an inclusive environment to journal in and retreat for an hour from current events. Bring your own journal and the rest will be supplied.

Jean is a kindness enthusiast and supporter of Random Acts, a worldwide grassroots non-profit dedicated to inspiring acts of kindness around the world both big and small. Jean loves journaling about acts of kindness to both inspire and turn the memory of these acts into something tangible.

12PM — 1PM Reading Journal Meetup

Hosted by Booked in North Shore

Join Ritwika for an hour of exchanging
book recommendations, creating journal spreads for your recent reads, and gushing over your favorite literary characters. A limited number of reading journal stationery kits will be available for purchase from Booked in North Shore.

1PM — 2PM Journaling Club Meetup

Hosted by Club de Journaling Para Chicas

Join Lis and Diana for a journaling session with the Chicas Journaling Club (Club de Journaling para Chicas), a bilingual community rooted in writing, culture, and creativity. Founded by Lis in February 2025, our sessions blend poetry, guided prompts, and creative journaling practices. From tea parties to picnics, our mission is to help you reconnect with your inner child and embrace activities that bring you joy.

2PM — 3PM Journaling Club Meetup

Hosted by Club de Journaling Para Chicas

Join Lis and Diana for a journaling session with the Chicas Journaling Club (Club de Journaling para Chicas), a bilingual community rooted in writing, culture, and creativity. 3PM — 5PM Postcrossing Meetup

Hosted by Indigo & The Postcrossing Project

Join Postcrossing member Indigo to write and exchange postcards with other members around the world! Founded in 2005, Postcrossing members celebrate snail mail and connection. For every postcard you send, you’ll receive one from another postcrosser anywhere in the world.

5PM — 6PM Journaling Club Meetup

Hosted by Rockford Stationery Club

Join Indigo for a journaling session with the Rockford Stationery Club! Rockford Stationery Club was established in May 2025 by Caitlin Yarbro. The club’s goal is to create community and connection while sharing the love for all things stationery. It consists of members from not just Rockford, IL, but the Northern Illinois, Chicagoland, and Wisconsin areas. We are an informal group who meet one to two times monthly. Any and all stationery enthusiasts are welcome - we are a mix of letter writers, journal keepers, planners, and paper lovers. 

GETTING TO AURORA STATIONERY FEST

Aurora Stationery Fest will be held at Two Brothers Roundhouse at 205 N Broadway, Aurora, IL 60505.

There is plenty of free parking at Two Brothers, but we recommend carpooling or taking public transportation if you plan on ordering from the brewery.

To get to Aurora Stationery Fest via train, take the Green Line (BNSF) to the last stop at Aurora. If you are coming from Chicago, you can board the Green Line at Union Station.Two Brothers Roundhouse is located in the same parking lot as the Aurora Train Station. After getting off the train, Two Brothers Roundhouse is about a 2 minute walk from the train station.

  • Aurora Stationery Fest is mostly indoors, including all vendors, hosted meetups, and workshops. There is an optional journaling and meetup area in the outdoor courtyard that will be open for the duration of the fest (weather permitting).

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS

Aurora Stationery Fest is hosted by Stationery Club Co., a Chicagoland small business that organizes stationery and journaling workshops and markets, in addition to creating our own journals and stationery goods. We previously hosted the Miskatonic Stationery Market in 2025 and the Alter Brewing Stationery Market in January 2026.

ASF was made possible by a very small group of individuals from Stationery Club Co., local artists, and stationery lovers. From sourcing the venue, designing the website, organizing vendors, and more, we outsourced as little as possible to keep the fest free to attend and as low-cost as possible for vendors. We are proud of our Emerging Artist Sponsorship, which provides a limited number of free vendor spots at each event for new artists or vendors.
