A beginner-friendly workshop, open to all levels! No experience needed.
Journaling can sometimes be daunting - what do I write, how can I be consistent, do my spreads need to be Instagram post worthy? The questions go on and on. All the answers are determined by you! Everyone journals differently. Some carry one journal that is a jack of all trades, others have a different journal for their every interest. Some journal every day, some when they remember. Celebrate YOUR wins. In this session, you will learn the basics of journaling, explore different journaling styles, and figure out what spreads/layouts suit you best.
We will make three different spreads:
About me: great way to start off your journal or introduce yourself. your likes, interests, hobbies, etc.
Pick an aesthetic: a visual layout that vibes with you. minimalist, colorful, vintage, floral, whimsical. the list goes on and on!
Pick a type: reflection, tracking, junk journaling, collage, memory keeping, etc.
Except for a journal, all supplies will be provided with price of workshop ticket. You can choose to bring your own journal or add on an A5 Midori blank journal to your ticket for an additional $15. You will have plenty to take home and experiment on your own.

mini guide on journaling
glue stick
washi tape and washi tape samples
paper doily
various ephemera
patterned paper
stickers
(Optional) A5 Midori blank journal (to be added to your ticket price if you so choose for an additional $15)
Additional supplies provided to share as a community during the workshop:
paper cutters
craft scissors
washi tape (can take samples from if you so choose!)
paper punches
various stamps
All attendees to the Intro to Journaling workshop will be entered into a raffle drawing to win a journaling pack which will include a journal, various ephemera, paper, and stickers from Alyssa’s own collection!
